Catholic church and the abused Children are both victims
It is not an article ,not a lecture and definitely not just a personal opinion ,in a matter of fact I am not going to say it is the truth but it is certainly the reality .
How can we describe the sexual abuse of those catholic priests towards Children in UK or in any other European country ?
Is it a crime or crimes ? …. yes it is.. or yes they are
Is it immoral ? …..yes it is
Is it brutal ? ….. yes it is and yes it is….. yes it is …… ……etc I will always say it is , when these acts related to a certain priest , I mean to a specific person or persons , not to the catholic church in general .
As a civilized peoples in the 21 century we must not judge things as if we are now in the middle dark ages , we must be rational , because we want justice , nothing but justice , we want the criminals to have their punishment and the victims to have the feeling that they get their rights .
I can say that nothing can be equal to a lost childhood and nothing would be enough to justify the acts of these priests .
But let us be faire , what is the responsibility of the catholic church of these actions ?
Is it a criminal responsibility ….. certainly not , it is what we call in law field a ( civil responsibility ) , because those priests was working under the authority of the catholic church , and they used their positions for inhuman criminal purposes , but there is a very important matter here : those priests did not abuse the children only they abused their church in the first place .
the church here is a victim too such as those children , but one big thing only can make the difference between the tow kinds of victims , that is the church might forgive and have the duty to deal with this or those cases with some kind of understanding point of view related to the ( forgiveness concept ) .
But the other victims and us can not do this , because we are not angels and we did not dedicate ourselves to the church .
As I said before: ( we need justice to the victims ) .
So we must understand that the church is a victim too and I will say it again and again , because I am not defending for the sake of the church I am defending for justice , and justice says : the church have a moral and civil responsibility towards those who were being abused , not a criminal responsibility.
And those who want to put the catholic church under the hammer of criminal guilt must be stopped ,
Christ did not order those sick persons to do what they did , so stop blame the church , and let us focus on the main issue which is ( how can we heal the wounds of the abused children , and also the wounds of the catholic church which was caused by the devilish media no more or less .
